I have major privacy concerns with this app. Despite having done my part in app to secure whatever information I can- I still get texts messages from illegitimate “employers” with “job offers”. NO LEGITIMATE employers are going send you texts like “We saw your resume on Indeed blah blah blah click this link to apply” Clicking that link is a good way to forfeit sensitive information from your mobile device. My information via résumé should only be visible to the jobs that I’m applying to! PERIOD. Despite trying to put as much on private as I can through your app, I still get these text. Which has lead me to believe that it’s likely very easy for illegitimate individuals to create employer accounts. No legitimate employer is going to be so informal! That’s a RED FLAG! The other thing you guys should be aware of any job listing that is “commission only” or “appointment-based only”? Those are NOT in any way shape or form legitimate employers. What they are is scams. If a listing doesn’t offer an hourly wage? IT’s a SCAM. That is just an opportunist looking to make money off of the people in a bind. Who are unsuspecting & none the wiser. Filter those out of your listings IMMEDIATELY! I hope you take the information I have given you & IMPROVE the user experience. DO BETTER!

I think indeed is a good job search opportunity but the reality of this website is they used way too much AI to search through applicants. There’s so many jobs looking for employees but then when you apply you get no reply from jobs. I know, me and a lot more people who have applied for jobs on these website. Either get no response or we’re not hiring even though the job was posted. Or they want to interview you but then they never get back to you as well. They make you upload your résumé four times sometimes just to apply for one job. Businesses keep putting how much hourly you’re going to get paid only to go into interviews and then I’m telling you it’s a different price which most of the time is lower. Than advertise on indeed that should not be allowed. Also as the hire, we are told not to contact the workplace and that they will contact us if they’re interested. That put us a disadvantage because we do not even know if they see that we are interested in working for them. I just don’t know how much of it is AI and actual companies looking at our profiles and our work experience. Cause math just ain’t math. I wish there was more communication on this app than it is. And I wish this app put more on the business side of things than on application because all we can do is apply and say we’re interested in working for companies, but companies are allowed not to get back to anybody or be up in front and honest with their post

Once you start looking for a job, it restricts you to your field so much that i cannot find other jobs outside my field. And i need a job. I cant be picky, and it can’t help me. I need a map. Where i can draw a circle. And say show me EVERY SINGLE JOB in the area—organized like this. I can’t even find a job. And the one good thing, being able to apply with just a few buttons, has backfired on us—making it so employers have so many applications, they wont even take the time to look at most of us. Also it is has extremely annoying constant notifications that will bother you when you don’t want to look, and if you turn them off, they bother you with allowing them the whole time. I might as well not even bother trying to find a job on here, because i have better luck the old fashioned way. 6 months, and i still cant get 20 hours a week. I have 4 jobs. Thanks indeed. Glad you took over the market and screwed us all over. Also shut up about the notifications. I dont even want to open the app because all it will do is pester me about notifications. I have them off because it will bother us all day long about stuff i dont care about. And if it is off—it relentlessly asks about turning them back on. At this point, im boycotting this app. I dont care if i have to fill out the whole application. Im done with this.

Think something fishy is up. 15 jobs applied with one one company getting back to me. You check on a post 2-3 days later and the job post is expired so you start a new search and bam…. The same posted job is shown. Talked with the one company that got back to me about emails stating “you were not chosen for the job..” or similar. Company states this is an issue with the app. When they move a potential employee from one section to another the email(s) are automatically sent out stating that you were not selected ect. Kind of strange right? Starting to wonder if employers are getting the information sent to them. Update…. 70 jobs applied. “2 companies”reached out after my 1 star review about indeed. Only after my one star review!Look at job postings, you will see more and more “this position is not a position yet…”. Why post jobs or allow companies to post if they are not real. You would think that indeed, a job listing/finding service would only allow jobs not well maybe in the future…. Wish I had money to fix indeed or apple for allowing apps like this. Stay away from. Way too many “possible” jobs listed by companies, companies put that in the listing that the post is not a job just a position they are the thinking of creating. So indeed is not a place to find a job rather it is an app to view jobs that could be a job.
